Thisshort video is about Audi a4 B8 2006 diesel that had starting issue, won't start, sometimes will start and cut out,. 6 Engine failure. In very rare cases, a seized engine can cause no start and clicking noise in A4. In this case, the engine won’t crank and you will hear a single click from the starter solenoid when you try to start the engine. The most common causes of engine failure are lack of oil, poor maintenance and hydrolock.

Finallyresolved the problem. Engine light came on, and the obd reader read a p2015 fault. To resolve the issue I took the actuator that connect to the manifold flaps out and disassembled it. Cleaned the sensor, and carefully installed it back. Cleared the engine light and hasnt come back since.

Thestop / start function has been showing as unavailable since November. If you are not getting the message that the stop/start is unavailable when you are stopped at a traffic light with your brakes on then you potentially have a problem. If you are getting the message, then things are likely normal.
